AXA
AXA to have tests at Chemists
AXA is to use pharmacies for non-invasive testing for their health care policies.
The tests will include skin and saliva tests and hair analysis. These are expected to be easier for consumers as they will only take around twenty minutes, in private rooms, and will be able to be booked closer to home or work plus the results could be available in a third of the time taken by GP reports.
Saliva tests will be for smoking, HIV, hepatitis and drug use. Hair can give details of drug and alcohol use, needle-free skin tests will be used for cholesterol and infra-red finger testing will assess the risk of heart disease.
With much faster results, applications will allow policies to be issued quicker.
